Getting to Koh Yao Noi

Koh Yao Noi is an island, so you have to get there by boat. From Phuket Airport, the journey involves two stages.

  1. Take a taxi to Bang Rong Pier or Phuket Town Harbour, depending on the boat company.
  2. Take a longtail boat or a speedboat to Manoh Pier, the jetty located to the south-east of Koh Yao Noi. The crossing takes around 30 to 50 minutes.

Your journey really begins here, with the crossing of the magnificent Phang Nga Bay. On arrival, our team will be waiting for you at the jetty with a taxi. They will take you to Apollonia Resort, where cold drinks will be waiting for you.

Yes, absolutely. The journey time is the same as from Phuket.

  • From Krabi Airport, make your way to the Ao Nang / Nopparat Thara jetty, then take the boat to Koh Yao Noi.
  • From Krabi Town, go to Klong Jilad harbour, then take the boat to Koh Yao Noi.

Boats arriving from Krabi dock at Tha Khao Pier, the jetty situated in the north-east of the island. As with Phuket, our team will be waiting for you on arrival with a taxi to take you to Apollonia Resort.

The crossing takes around 30 to 50 minutes, depending on the type of boat and the point of departure.

Yes, our team can arrange your transfer from the airport to our villas.

There is a charge for this service. The price depends on the number of people and the type of boat chosen, longtail, speedboat or private boat.

Please contact our team before your arrival, and they will give you the exact price.

On Koh Yao Noi, almost everyone gets about on a scooter, tourists and locals alike. It’s the most convenient way to get from one beach to another or to reach the restaurants.

There’s really no need for a car; the roads are quiet and the only cars you’ll see are hotel taxis.

Our team can arrange for you to hire a scooter, a bike or a sidecar. Remember to check your insurance cover for scooters and ensure you have the compulsory international driving licence.

Discover Koh Yao Noi

Koh Yao Noi is a peaceful island that has retained its authentic charm, far from the hustle and bustle of Phuket or Koh Samui.

It is situated in Phang Nga Bay, 30 to 50 minutes by boat from Phuket and Krabi. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful holiday, whilst still being close to the major tourist attractions.

Life is good here. Breathtaking scenery, incredible sunsets, rice paddies where buffalo graze. And little restaurants serving authentic Thai cuisine. To get about, hire a scooter or a bike, or take a private taxi. The roads are quiet; the only cars are the taxis that pick up travellers at the jetty.

Koh Yao Noi is also an excellent base for Thai boat trips.

Renowned hotels such as Six Senses and Cape Kudu have also chosen to settle on Koh Yao Noi. Proof that the island has everything it takes to win you over.

Here are the most beautiful islands to explore in the surrounding area.

  • Koh Yao Yai, the big sister of Koh Yao Noi, right next door. Perfect for a half-day trip

  • Koh Kudu, a small island nearby, for a quick getaway

  • James Bond Island, the most famous island in Phang Nga Bay

  • Koh Panyee, a fishing village built on stilts

  • Koh Phi Phi and Maya Bay, a little further afield, for a full day out.

Our team can help you organise these boat trips.

The closest beach to our villas is Pasai Beach, a 5-minute walk away. It’s a lovely, easily accessible beach, with restaurants and bars right next to it.

As for the rest, it all depends on what you fancy.

  • For peace and quiet and natural surroundings, Klong Jark Beach, which is wilder and more tranquil.
  • For the views, Tha Khao Beach, overlooking the islets and rock formations.
  • For a peaceful moment, Loh Paret Beach, a small, secluded beach.

Life on Koh Yao Noi moves to the rhythm of the sea and nature. Here are a few ideas, depending on what you fancy.

  • For a day at sea, a longtail boat trip to Koh Hong, Koh Lao Lading or Koh Pak Bia, with swimming and snorkelling.
  • For a gentle adventure, kayaking through the mangroves and small caves.
  • To explore the island, a scooter ride through rice fields, villages, rubber plantations and scenic viewpoints.
  • For nature lovers, spot hornbills – those large birds with curved beaks.
  • For sports enthusiasts, go rock climbing on the limestone cliffs, with routes for all levels.
  • For foodies, take a Thai cookery class with a local chef.
  • To unwind, try yoga by the sea or watch the sunset from a boat in Phang Nga Bay.
